When Lillian Davies sees the video clip that made Justine Chambers go viral, she knows it’s her missing daughter Nicola’s voice and yet, it’s not her daughter singing. Desperate to find her daughter alive, Lillian discovers Justine is playing the River Valley Club and posing as a diehard fan, bribes her way backstage. Lillian plies Justine with flattery, begging her to play her hit song but when she does, Lillian viciously grills her on its meaning. After hearing Justine’s flimsy answers, Lillian knows for certain that her daughter wrote the words and soon realizes there are eight more songs in her set. Justine refuses to sing them- it’s too close to showtime and a line is forming outside the club. With the clock racing, Lillian is forced to blackmail Justine in order to hear the clues in the lyrics that are her only hope in finding her daughter alive.

When Lillian Davies hears a rising pop star’s new song, she instantly knows the lyrics were written by her missing teenage daughter.
'Love Bomb' was commissioned by Shameless Hussy Productions in Vancouver, premiered at the Firehall Arts Centre in 2015 and has been touring ever since. It won best musical and best actress at the 2016 Ovation Awards and was nominated for best musical (small theatre) that same year. 'Love Bomb' was named by the RCMP as one of the top ten ways to combat sex trafficking at their National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. The RCMP also commissioned a film version for in-house training for their human trafficking unit.
